Foot Pedal 6. Word Processing Software like WordPerfect or Microsoft Office 7. Dictionary or a Thesaurus 8. Industry-Specific Manuals 9. Text Expander 10. Time Tracking Software 11. File Converting Software You can add more or customize any of these based on your specific requirements.

From my perspective, the most important piece of transcription equipment is a ""transcription software"". It saves me a lot of time while transcriptioning for multiple freelance projects. You can find multiple different transcription softwares across the internet, but make sure to choose a software which has a high accuracy. I would avoid the free ones. I personally make use of tools from Maestra.
