I am beginning to get the occasional request for transcribing footage from police body-cams. Occasionally, the video is in a format that my playback software does not support. This past week I was sent a video file with this file extension -- MV7001Caddy.video. Usually my Prism software will convert almost any video format to something I can use, but it doesn't work with this particular video format.
Based on my limited experience with body-cam videos, it seems that different manufacturers have proprietary video software and it can be difficult to convert to a format useable for transcription.
I'm curious to know if others have encountered this issue and how they have solved it.
