How do you deal with group discussions where everyone talks at once?

I’ve noticed that in group discussions, people often start talking at the same time and the audio becomes difficult to follow. I’m curious how experienced transcriptionists manage overlapping conversations. What techniques do they use to stay accurate, identify speakers, and capture dialogue clearly when everything starts sounding crowded?

When everyone talks at once in a group discussion, experienced transcriptionists usually replay difficult parts, focus on identifying each speaker’s voice, use timestamps or notes, and slow down the audio if needed. Instead of guessing unclear words, they review those sections again to keep the transcription accurate and clear.
