What points should I keep in mind while creating a resume for applying as a general transcriptionist? Also, what are the basic mistakes that transcriptionist do that leads their resumes to end up on the bottom of a recruiter's pile?
I think you should include these sections in your resume to make it outstanding from others-
- Your experience
- Your education
- Your skills
- Your profile summary
- Your profile picture
Hope you find my answer useful.
Hi Ginger,
I think you should be more specific to the skills that should be highlighted.
According to me, skills such as excellent listening abilities, grammar knowledge, attention to detail, fast typing, deadline orientation, experience, and customer service should be highlighted to catch the employer's attention. Do mention if you have any sort of prior transcription training.
Be more specific about your skills. Also, mention significant data about your transcription accuracy along with grammar knowledge will immediately catch the attention of employers.
